New IHE publication – The impact on quality of life of phenylketonuria

New IHE publication in the European Journal of Health Economics on the on quality of life of diet restrictions and disease symptoms associated with phenylketonuria (PKU) using time trade-off and discrete choice experiment.

The publication is one of the first to study preferences for dietary restrictions and one of few studies using a relatively new approach, DCE with duration attribute, to estimate the impact on utility. This is compared to utilities derived with the more traditional approach, TTO, resulting in several methodological findings.
