Fact sheet on ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers, with rather low survival outcomes and it being the deadliest gynecologic cancer type in Western countries.

IHE has developed a new fact sheet providing a concise overview of ovarian cancer, covering disease burden, economic impact, prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment innovation, quality of life, and policy priorities.

Building on IHE’s 2025 global policy report “Bridging the Gap in Women’s Cancer Care”, the fact sheet highlights where strengthened policies and targeted action can help close the survival gap.
