Does Germany need a new national cancer plan?
Germany’s national cancer plan was launched in 2008 with the aim to improve oncology care in the country. In order to inspire and enrich the discussion about an update of the plan, the German branch of All.Can International organized a workshop in Berlin to shed light on international experiences.
Thomas Hofmarcher presented a dashboard-style comparison trying to answer the question “How good is Germany’s cancer care in a European context?” The aim of the workshop was to identify areas where action is needed and to develop proposals to discuss them with political representatives and their inclusion in a new national cancer plan.
