Data and Evidence

Drawing on Sweden’s unique environment with national population registries, prescription registries and disease specific quality registries, analysis of real world data (RWD) has been a staple of IHE research activities for many years. Together with partners we can conduct RWE studies for the entire Nordic area.

RWD studies have many uses. Examples include comparisons of clinical practice between regions, evaluation of the role of socioeconomic factors for health, analysis of characteristics that determine access to care, effectiveness comparisons of a new therapy both in terms of clinical and economic outcomes such as work absenteeism, investigations of treatment patterns and much more.
