Five IHE diabetes and obesity models take on the 2026 Mount Hood Challenges

The Mt Hood Challenge Network brings together researchers working with health-economic models in diabetes to compare methods, share data, and advance modelling standards. This year’s conference takes place in Padua, Italy, on 2–4 October.

IHE will participate in all 4 Mt Hood Challenges with 5 different models. IHE’s Michael Willis, one of the conference organisers, will be present in Padua and will be chairing Challenge 2.

In addition, the new IHE-ASM — developed by IHE researchers Sofie Persson, Adam Fridhammar, Kristoffer Nilsson and Hedda Carlsson — will be the focus of the 4 October presentation “Autoantibody screening model for T1D, celiac disease, and hypothyroidism”.
