IHE presents breast cancer report’s findings in Panama and the Dominican Republic

Andrea Manzano had the great honor of presenting new research findings about breast cancer in Central America. She presented at the breast cancer forum organized by the Ministry of Women in Panama and at the Congress of the Dominican Republic for the Permanent Health Commission in October 2024. Andrea shared the results for both countries from the IHE report 2024:4, Improving outcomes for women with triple-negative breast cancer in Latin America – An extended analysis.

Public officials expressed strong interest in gaining a new, comparative perspective on breast cancer care and reinforced their commitment to improving the early detection of breast cancer.

Andrea also presented the same research during a meeting with the Vice Minister of Health in Panama, key congresswomen, civil society organizations, media outlets and at a forum hosted by INTEC medical university in Santo Domingo.
