Fallstudier om flickors och kvinnors hälsa

The report is written in Swedish with a summary in English

Since 2015, a government initiative has been underway to strengthen women’s health. The Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services Analysis (Vård- och omsorgsanalys) has been tasked by the government with monitoring this initiative. As part of this assignment, Vård- och omsorgsanalys has commissioned IHE to conduct case studies on diagnoses and conditions that cause significant ill health for girls and women during different stages of life.

The case studies are based on data regarding disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) reported by the Global Burden of Disease (GBD), specialist care data from the National Board of Health and Welfare’s patient register, primary care data from the KPP database, sick leave data from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, survey data from the Public Health Survey by the Public Health Agency of Sweden, and survey data from a questionnaire specifically developed for the project by Vård- och omsorgsanalys in collaboration with IHE. The case studies also include interviews with representatives from professional and patient organizations for each respective condition.
