Cancer Dashboard for Lithuania

How good is cancer care in Lithuania compared to other EU countries and what can be improved? This dashboard-style report provides a visual and quantitative description of selected performance indicators in all areas of cancer care. It focuses specifically on women’s cancers (breast cancer and gynecological cancers).

The purpose of the dashboard is to encourage the implementation of the National Cancer Prevention and Control Program 2014-2025 and pending updates as well as other ongoing initiatives to improve cancer care in Lithuania. It also highlights the importance of measuring and comparing a country’s performance in all areas of cancer care with pre-defined goals and relying on evidence-based actions to improve cancer care.

The dashboard was launched at a presentation in the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) at the conference “Elimination of Cervical Cancer and Reduction of Human Papillomavirus Diseases in Men and Women – Mission Possible” on January 27, 2025 in Vilnius. The conference was organized by the Lithuanian Cancer Patient Coalition (POLA and MP Prof. Saulius Čaplinskas to mark Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.
